Do Nuns Have Fun?

United in the same tradition and spirit, the Poor Clares of Perpetual Adoration live a common life as true Sisters, praying, working, and recreating together. Supported by our Community structures and strengthened by the faithful example of our Sisters, we can more easily fulfill our calling. (PCPA Constitutions, n.147).

Community recreations offer us the opportunity for relaxed sharing with one another in a spirit of Sisterly love. Free times to pursue personal interests are also a valuable and necessary part of our life. During these periods of wholesome change from our work, we are refreshed by simple enjoyments. (PCPA Constitutions, n. 151)

The short answer is YES WE DO HAVE FUN!!! AND LOTS OF IT!!!

Please note that this page is under going some continuous construction as we try to update our photos. This may take a few months but we will post them as we get them since we don’t go running round with cell phones and we have to make it a point to take a picture. We get some snow...remember...or at least enough that winter to make a snownun

No, it is not illegal to throw snowballs at the picture taker ...especially if it is Mother

Hence she had to run farther away from us and we tried again

We planned a whole day around Mother and she always wanted a flower crown so we made her one

So we had to update Sr. Thérèse Marie's picture and here she is trying to convince me this leaf is a Hawaiian flower. It didn't go over too well.
