Celebrating the 800th anniversary of the death of our beloved founder, St. Francis of Assisi, we cordially invite all the faithful to take an active part in this exceptional Jubilee.

For us, the Poor Clares, this Jubilee holds a particularly profound meaning. St. Francis is not only a beloved saint whom we honor, but our spiritual father and the founder of the Franciscan family, from whose radical love for Christ and embrace of poverty, humility, and simplicity has grown and continues to flourish throughout the world.

Among these, St. Clare of Assisi holds a unique and precious place: inspired by the example and preaching of St. Francis, she courageously embraced the Gospel life and became, in her own words, the “little plant” of St. Francis.

As daughters of St. Clare, we too seek to remain little plants rooted in the same Franciscan soil, nourished by their love for Christ and their faithful embrace of the Gospel. Eight centuries later, their witness continues to bear fruit, inspiring and guiding our vocation as Poor Clares to live in poverty, fraternity, prayer, and complete trust in God.

As we commemorate 800 years since his return to the Father, we are called to rediscover the joy and beauty of the Franciscan charism and to renew our own commitment to following Christ in the spirit of St. Francis and St. Clare.

With grateful hearts, we welcome all the faithful to join us in prayer, reflection, and celebration during this special time of grace, as together we give thanks for the enduring legacy of our Seraphic Father and seek to carry his spirit of peace, fraternity, and love into our world today.
